You only have to look at the news to see how delicate our children’s mental health is:
“Teenage mental health crisis: rates of depression have soared in the last 25 years” (The Independent)
Tween and teenage years are a time when children change and develop rapidly. They have to cope with many new situations and challenges, often leading to mental health issues.
In addition to this, the number of external pressures our children face continue to rise and this can have a huge impact on all areas of their lives.
Despite this the Children’s Mental Health and Adolescent Services (CMHAS) receive less than 0.6% of the NHS budget leaving parents and schools with nowhere to turn.
We can help parents build their child’s self esteem as well as signpost to relevant agencies.
